PORTRAITS TO THE PEOPLE’S EQUITY STATEMENT

As a queer photographer, I believe in creating a world where everyone—regardless of background, identity, or financial circumstances—can access the empowering experience of being photographed. My work is rooted in authenticity, inclusivity, and the desire to help people feel seen, celebrated, and confident in their skin.

I understand that my services are an investment, and I deeply value the artistry, expertise, and care I bring to every session. However, it’s equally important to me that my work remains accessible, especially to those from marginalized communities who often don’t see themselves reflected in professional photography.

That’s why I’ve developed a step-by-step process to ensure access for everyone:

Step-by-Step: Making Photography Accessible

  • Sliding Scale Pricing
For individuals from marginalized communities, I offer sliding scale options based on financial need. This ensures that pricing can be adjusted to meet you where you are.

  • Sponsored Sessions
Through collaborations with community organizations and local sponsors, I reserve a number of fully or partially funded sessions for individuals who may not otherwise afford them.

  • Community Portrait Days
Several times a year, I host Community Portrait Days, offering shorter sessions at a significantly reduced rate or for free. These events are specifically designed for marginalized folks looking to access professional photography.

  • Barter and Trade
For those unable to pay, I’m open to barter and trade arrangements where you can contribute your skills, time, or services in exchange for a portrait session.

Why This Matters

Everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and celebrated, and a portrait is a powerful way to reclaim your image and your story. This is about more than just photography—it’s about breaking barriers and ensuring everyone has access to the tools of self-expression.

If you’re interested in a session but feel financial constraints, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Together, we’ll find a way to make it happen.

Let’s capture the real, incredible you.
