Getting Professional Headshots Shouldn't Be Complicated

Whether you're booking for yourself or your entire team, here's exactly how the process works from start to finish for individuals and folks looking for team/business options.

Step 1: Book Your Session (No Phone Call Required)

Most of my clients book directly online without talking to me first.

For Individuals, send in a form through my website to get the ball rolling. You’ll need to choose:

  • Location (Sausalito studio or Bay Area outdoor)

  • Package option

  • Availability

After our first email communication, you’ll get a ton of information from me with everything you need to know about how to prepare, and we'll meet for the first time on your shoot day.

For Businesses & Teams:

Fill out a quick quote request form with:

  • How many employees need photos

  • Preferred timing

  • Location preference (on-site at your office or studio)

  • Any special requirements

I'll send you a detailed quote within 24 hours, and if you approve, you can book directly from there.

Prefer to Talk First?

If you have specific questions or just want to discuss what you need before booking, I'm happy to jump on a quick call. But it's totally optional - most people prefer to just book online. Either way works for me, whatever makes you most comfortable.

Step 2: Preparation Email (About 1 Week Before)

You'll receive everything you need via email:

Wardrobe guide – What to wear (and what to avoid)

What to expect – Timeline and how the session flows

✓ My contact info – For any last-minute questions

Step 3: Your Photoshoot Day

For Individual Sessions:

What happens when you arrive:

First 10 minutes: We meet for the first time, quick chat to get comfortable, review wardrobe options and get ready for our photo adventure.

Warm-up (15-20 min): Test shots to get you comfortable with the camera, clear direction from me, see shots on screen so you know it's working.

Main session (30-45 min): Multiple poses, angles, and expressions with my guidance - smiling, not smiling, serious, casual, and/or professional. We can do it all!

Wrap-up (10 min): Confirm we got everything you need and perhaps review some images together so you feel good walking away.

Total time: 60-90 minutes

For Corporate/Team Sessions:

There’s so many different options for how we can set up a headshot day for your team, but this is how it often goes down.

Setup (30-60 min before): I arrive early and set up equipment, test shots, get ready to go.

Individual sessions (10-15 min each): Brief intro → multiple shots with variety → quick review → done!

Scheduling options:

Time slots: Everyone gets a specific appointment (every 5 to 10 or 15 minutes)

Drop-in hours: Open window like 9am-3pm, come whenever

Optional add-ons: Team photos, environmental office shots, extended executive portraits, professional make up application, hair stylist that can do men’s grooming and blow outs/styling hair

Each employee experience: Fast, efficient, professional but comfortable, clear direction, minimal time away from work

Step 4: Online Gallery Photo Delivery

Within 10 business days to 3 weeks, you get your images after your shoot and you’ll be super happy!
