Photos for Midpoint Chiropractic

One of my most favorite kind of photo shoot to do is my Branding Photo Packages! I did a few last year that really stood out to me and one of the branding photoshoots I loved loved loved was a small LGBTQ sports chiropractic office in the Castro neighborhood in San Francisco called Midpoint Sports Chiropractic. Their motto is - Move Better, Feel Better, Live Better and I LOVE IT!

The business is owned by two partners, Kai & Brian, and we did the photoshoot over 2 sessions where they brought in clients/models to show all of the different healing modalities that they offer like - chiropractic, active release techniques, myofacial decompression/cup therapy, the graston technique and rehab exercises.

Kai and Brian worked really hard on making a comprehensive shot list to help keep us stay on track and once we moved 90% of the things out of their main work area (dumbells, skeletons, degrees hanging on the wall, rubber bands and yoga mats) we were ready to go. Thanks to everyone that came to help Kai & Brian, I think their new website looks amazing! Here is a highlight of our shoot and be sure to check out their beautiful new website and work with them if you’re in SF!

If you own a small business or have a profession like a coach, we can do a similar shoot! Can’t wait to work with you on your project!

Congratulations Arlan Hamilton!

This is a big week for someone I deeply admire, Arlan Hamilton! She’s got a second book out this week and is currently on tour. I didn’t talk about it as much as I probably should have, but did you know that I was the photographer for her FIRST book cover? It is true!

I met Arlan for a few minutes at a conference she was speaking at in August 2019 and I took her headshot by a window in a very dark corner of the space before she went on stage. A month later she reached out to me to see if I wanted to do a photo of her for the book cover, hell yes I did!

I flew down to LA with my good friend Miki (who did an incredible job on the lighting) and we had one day to prep and one day with Arlan in the studio. I was so nervous/excited about photographing her because a book cover was a big deal! I actually had a dream about shooting the photo she ended up using the cover, how cool is that?!

I wanted to use this blog post to congratulate Arlan, but also to toot my own horn because this shoot was so much fun and I hope to manifest more of them in the coming years. Arlan is an incredible person doing amazing things, so follow them on all the platforms!

One of my favorite things about this shoot with Arlan was seeing all of the ways the photos I took were used and I threw in some awesome BTS photos because we weren’t taking much video back in the pre-Covid days, ha. Her wife was at the shoot too and after we finished the official portraits, I was able to take some fun ones of them.

Enjoy!
